About Nadia

Nadia is a Certified Life Coach, endorsed by the ABC Awards’ Quality Licence Scheme in Britain. She has been involved with teenagers and young adults for over 20 years. She was a lecturer and student counsellor at The Damelin College in both Port Elizabeth and Mbabane, Swaziland, and later took the position as Director of Studies (DOS) at two Language Colleges in Auckland, New Zealand. She worked closely with the students, and realised her unique ability and intuitiveness to connect with young people; many times standing in as mediator between students and parents, or student and student.

As DOS, part of her job description was assisting students from foreign countries such as China, Russia, Japan and Vietnam to successfully integrate into a new culture in New Zealand.

Until recently Nadia was the owner of Finesse Finishing School, but became frustrated when teenagers confided some of their personal problems in her, but she wasn’t in a position to knowledgably deal with their issues. This led her to obtain her diploma (with distinction) and become a Certified Life Coach.

Cherishing a great love and passion for all young people, her desire is to see them conquer and rise above whatever problem or emotional issue might be holding them back from achieving their dreams and living life to the fullest. To flourish, thrive and grow in all they do.
Nadia is a keen and continuous student of the science of neuroplasticity, which is the ability of the brain to change as a result of thought patterns, which in turn affects the body, mental health and behavioural patterns of a person. She uses neuroplasticity shaping techniques in her coaching.

She also obtained her degree in Linguistics and Theory of Literature at the former Rand Afrikaans University, now the University of Johannesburg. She furthermore holds two certificates from FAMSA in Counselling and Personal Development. She has been married for 29 years and has a son who is currently studying Electronic Engineering at the University of Stellenbosch.
